Second Documentary

I was looking forward to watching the second documentary made by our documentary group. Of course, we already made more than just two films but the two documentaries I mentioned here are important work and they both are published and played in public. The short documentary they made this time is about Weaving Craft Museum. I had no chance to participate making this documentary because I was in the UK most of time. Luckily, I was back Taiwan for three months last year and had chance to join the shooting and discussion once. Today is the first time this documentary played in public. I therefore went to watch it and was surprised how good the new members are.

Today when the curator of the library where we start our documentary group saw me, the first thing he said is that you are finally back and you gained some weight. lol... I was smiling and I told him that I ate more these days. I let the curator know that me and Richie are going to marry next year and are going to have a baby as well. He therefore told me that our documentary team can support us and shoot our wedding for free. I was very happy but I told him that I might not have a big wedding because I am actually very afraid of meeting many strangers.

Most of group members are not available today and couldn't go to the museum and see their documentary played in public but just few members. However, they are all very happy to see me again and told me they already discussed about when I'll be back and share my experience in Edinburgh and also my photography work. I asked them when is the next meeting and they told me it's tomorrow. I then promised them that I'll definately go tomorrow to see everybody. I miss everyone already. Besides, I have to return the DV tapes to the curator. Since I didn't do my documentary in Edinburgh, I shouldn't keep the rest of the DV tapes. Though the curator told me that I can just keep them.

Before we left Weaving Craft Museum, the curator of Weaving Craft Museum saw me and asked our curator, Mr. Chen, who I am. Mr. Chen told her that I'm one of the volunteers from the documentary group so she brought me a paper bag with souvenirs whicn are a booklet of the museum and also a box of butter cookies. :)

I showed my mom the famous butter cookies I got from the curator. Also, I told her that I will go to the group meeting tomorrow. As what I guess, she doesn't feel like to let me go because it's too far. She told me it's really far and not safe since I'm having baby now. I told her it's the fastest way to go there by scooter and I promised not to ride that fast. sigh... I guess if I still want to go to the group meeting, I might have to spend lots of time taking bus instead.
